How the matching works

Each of the 55 plants in our database carries a structured profile — light requirement, drought tolerance, mature size, growth pattern, pet toxicity per the ASPCA. The quiz turns your answers into a score for every plant, then surfaces the three highest-scoring matches with a plain-English reason for each pick.

We do not sell plants — these recommendations are unbiased and link straight to our full care guides. If a plant we recommend is not available locally, the care guide tells you what to look for as a substitute.
